BlackRock, in collaboration with Uniswap and Securitize, has integrated its USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund, known as BUIDL, onto UniswapX. The move allows pre-qualified institutional traders to swap BUIDL tokens for USDC with near-instant liquidity through decentralized infrastructure.
BUIDL is backed by approximately 1.8 billion dollars in U.S. Treasuries and represents BlackRock’s first direct integration into decentralized finance trading venues. The deployment leverages smart contracts and liquidity routing mechanisms designed to maintain compliance standards while enabling transparent on-chain settlement.
According to Uniswap Labs founder Hayden Adams, enabling BUIDL on UniswapX expands liquidity options for token holders. The structure combines tokenized fund exposure with decentralized exchange infrastructure, aiming to bridge operational standards between traditional finance and blockchain-based markets.
The integration highlights growing institutional interest in tokenized real-world assets and programmable liquidity. By connecting a treasury-backed fund to decentralized liquidity pools, the collaboration demonstrates how regulated financial products can access on-chain trading venues while maintaining oversight frameworks.
The development may influence broader capital flows between traditional and decentralized markets, as institutional-grade assets become increasingly interoperable with digital asset infrastructure.
