Former Vice President Kamala Harris is currently the frontrunner in polls for the 2028 presidential election, albeit largely due to name recognition. Despite this, many analysts and former aides, including a former Biden administration aide, have expressed skepticism about her chances of winning the White House. Harris has been laying the groundwork for a potential campaign, but faces challenges, including her own reputation and the perception that Democrats on Capitol Hill should challenge President Trump more. Recent endorsements and statements from Harris have also made headlines, including her support for revisiting the Electoral College and her omission of former President Joe Biden from her list of most effective presidents.
